llison Taylor is Principal with the firm, practicing in the areas of labor and employment law, corporate intellectual property and general business matters.
Allison has represented clients throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. She advises clients on a daily basis on employment issues, including administration of employee leaves of absence, hiring, discipline, termination, wage and hour, reductions-in-force, drug testing and employee privacy issues. She drafts employment agreements, separation agreements and employment policies and handbooks. Allison also conducts investigations of employee complaints and defends charges of discrimination before the EEOC, MCHR, CREA, KCHRC, IDHR, DOL, MODOL, IDOL as well as other state and local enforcement agencies. Allison often provides a variety of employment law training to employers.
Allison handles matters before the National Labor Relations Board including certification and de-certification elections and unfair labor practice charges. She also assists clients with labor relations issues including opposing union organizing campaigns, union requests for information, contract negotiations and grievance resolution.
Allison's experience as an officer, a in-house counsel and Interim General Counsel for multiple national companies headquartered in St. Louis includes managing commercial and employment litigation as well as managing attorneys and paralegals in multiple offices. She also has experience managing professional liability claims programs, each covering more than 5,000 physicians (MD, OD, DDS), psychiatrists, psychologists, PAs, NPs, RNs, LPNs, med techs and dental assistants.
Allison has extensive experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising regarding enforcement of contracts of various types, including multi-million dollar information technology projects requiring hardware purchases and/or leases, software licenses and consulting agreements. Allison frequently drafts, reviews and negotiates confidentiality agreements, intellectual property license agreements, supply agreements, service agreements and commercial leases. Allison drafts, reviews and advises upon enforcement of intellectual property usage guidelines and negotiates settlements of issues regarding third party violations of company intellectual property rights. She also often advises clients regarding requests for information pursuant to state open records laws and media requests.
